We are seeking an applicant with a university degree (50% E13) for the BMBF-funded project “deras_on”. The aim of the project is to develop and create scientifically sound online programmes for deradicalising people who use anti-Semitic codes in online forums. Fundamental to this is an in-depth understanding of the relevant online forums, the language patterns used there and the social dynamics of the users. The project is being carried out in cooperation with the Jena-based association Drudel 11 e.V.

Task description:
Scientific research on online right-wing extremism and anti-Semitism as well as deradicalisation research.

Corpus creation as well as coding of social media threads with MAXQDA (with the help of a comprehensive guideline for recording explicit and implicit anti-Semitism in text and images)

Creation of catalogues with current language codes in the radical right-wing milieu

Advising Drudel e.V. on the development of an online approach to right-wing extremist users
